Kintsugi Commission

Pleased to share this new kintsugi piece I was commissioned to re~create for Kings Cross Church, London, to be used as their baptism bowl.

Referencing the ancient Japanese method of repairing broken pottery with gold ~ making the restored object more valuable than had it not been broken ~ the piece meditates on ideas of transformation or being ‘made new’ within the sacrament of baptism.
